AFC Greenwich Borough (‘Greenwich Borough’) are pleased to confirm that they will field a men’s first team in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) Division One for the 2025/26 season, step six of the non-League system.
The move completes a one-club structure that now spans veterans’, men’s, women’s, youth and disability football across the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with the club committed to being inclusive and accessible for all.

Who we’re lining up for 2025/26

Men’s First Team – new side competing in SCEFL Division One (Step 6)
Men’s Vets – 2024/25 Southern Veterans League champions, promoted to the Premier Division
Men’s B Team – development squad stepping into the Kent County League
Women’s First Team – re-badged from Welling United, staying in the Kent Women’s Premier Division (Tier 6)
Women’s Reserves – development squad, with regional league entry to be confirmed
U19s – National League U19 Alliance, post-16 pathway playing mid-week national fixtures in the South Division
50+ squads across Youth Boys (U7 – U16) and Youth Girls (U7 – U16)– We compete in the Junior Premier League’s (JPL) Saturday programme, a nationally respected platform that delivers a more competitive level of football than traditional Sunday leagues. This means better opposition, a faster playing standard, and greater visibility to scouts and professional academies. We intentionally focus on Saturday football to give our players the best possible development and progression opportunities. However, we also compete in the Kent Youth League on a Sunday, too.

Garry Fiore, Owner & Director of Football, said: “We’re excited for our young players, giving them an authentic pathway into both men’s and women’s senior football.
“We now have a genuine opportunity to make a real difference in this community and we’re really looking forward for the future.”

Brett Smith, Owner & Director of Operations, said: “From a first-team perspective, we want our future to be playing in the top level of non-League football, something we feel is achievable within the next 10 years.
“For now, we want to ensure this is a smooth transition, ensuring that we have the best facilities, the best coaches and the best people around us – that includes the parents, our members, our players and their families. We want them to be proud of being part of Greenwich Borough.
“It’s an exciting future ahead and this is just the beginning.”
