AFC Greenwich Borough is proud to recognise the outstanding achievements of our girls’ teams throughout September, with our latest Girls’ Player of the Month awards.
These awards celebrate players who have gone above and beyond in their effort, attitude, and performances on and off the pitch. Coaches consider not only technical ability, but commitment in training, teamwork, coachability, and how each player represents the values of The Boro.

Setting standards for the whole club
Our Girls’ Academy Player of the Month awards are about more than goals and results. They recognise players who:
- Turn up consistently and work hard in training
- Support their teammates and show leadership by example
- Show respect for coaches, officials and opponents
- Play with confidence, courage and a positive attitude
These winners are setting the standard for their age groups and inspiring younger players coming through our girls’ pathway.
Keep progressing, on and off the pitch
To all of our September winners: enjoy the recognition, but keep pushing yourselves. And to every girl who pulls on a Boro shirt each week, thank you for the effort you put in for your team.
We look forward to seeing how our girls’ section continues to grow over the coming months, both in performance and in the number of players representing AFC Greenwich Borough.
